Length, Venue & Technical Requirements

Each full HERstory show runs an hour, but Anita and Catherine also offer 30-minute programs that present “highlights” of our Voting Rights, Trailblazers, and Songwriting Sisters shows. They realize that a shorter product can sometimes work better for nonprofit, civic, and corporate luncheons, meetings and networking events. If you want a custom length, let them know and they’ll try to accommodate you.

In the past, Anita and Catherine have performed shows in a variety of settings, from large auditoriums and theatres to small intimate cabaret clubs, “event rooms” at senior citizen residences and even corporate conference rooms. So they are very adaptable. They need only a piano or keyboard, a basic or portable sound system with two microphones appropriate for singing - or a small room with great acoustics - and an audience looking for an enjoyable hour (or more or less) of music and edutainment! (For an additional fee, they can provide a keyboard for a venue without a piano, and/or a portable sound system.) 

Once you book a performance, they can help with your promotional efforts by providing photos and text for a social media platform or webpage publicizing the event, if that would be helpful. If your event would be open to the public, they would be happy to invite folks from their fan list as well. They don’t charge a percentage of the door proceeds, so you are free to charge your audience members what you wish -- making it a great idea for a fundraiser -- or you might simply provide the show as a benefit to your members, donors, patrons, etc.
